The Whoopie Sling Store
Introducing the No Knot Self Tensioning tarp/tent guyline/tieout. Eliminate all knots and hardware from your guylines other than your stakes.
It is a self tensioning tarp guyline using a Prusik knot. If you are using a nylon or silnylon tarp, it will stretch overnight. The incorporation of a section of Silicone tubing in the guyline insures that as your tarp stretches, the pitch stays taught. The Silicone tubing is unaffected by cold temperatures unlike the Thera Band that I was using. The Yellow and Grey cord I have is an 8 strand, 1.75mm Dyneema fiber with a weight rating of 400 pounds.
Simply Girth Hitch the Prusik knot to your D-ring, or use a toggle and throw the fixed eye over your stake, pull the tail through the prusik knot to extend the tensioner and you are all done.
These can also be made without the tubing for Cuben and Spinn tarps.
Standard length is 8 feet fully extended. I can make custom lengths. Just send me a message to whoopieslings@att.net
The option for Red is no longer available.
Price is $7.00 shipped USPS per Guy Line with tensioner and $6.00 each without. Order as many as you need. If you would like the main line and prusik to be different colors, just let me know in the "comments to seller" box during checkout.

The Tarp Ridge Line (TRL) allows you to effortlessly and consistently hang your tarp.
The single line system consists of a 30 foot length of line with a Nite Ize Knot Bone built into a fixed eye on one end, 2 prusiks for tarp attachment and a Nite Ize Figure 9 built into a prusik for the other end. Weight is 1.1 ounces for this configuration.
Set-up is as simple as stepping up to your first anchor point, tossing the Knot Bone around your anchor point and then wrapping the main line around the Knot Bone. Walk to your second anchor point, adjust the Figure 9, by sliding the prusik, to about 2 feet from your anchor point, throw the line around the tree and wrap the Figure 9. The 2 remaining prusiks are for attachment to your tarps ridge line D rings. This can be accomplished by either using the D ring as a toggle, picking up a stick to use as a toggle, or by choosing the Nite Ize S Biner option. This option includes 2, #1 Nite Ize S Biners for tarp ridge line attachment.
The 2 line system will consist of 2 lines, 10 feet long with a Nite Ize Knot Bone built into a fixed eye on each end of the individual lines and 1 prusik on each line. Attachment at your anchor points is a simple matter of wrapping the Knot Bone around your anchor point and giving the line a few wraps on the Knot Bone. Then attach the prusiks to your tarps ridge line. I will update with weight ASAP.
